HOW many billions have been spent on the Olympics?
If a fraction of this had been spent on looking after people with learning difficulties, Winterbourne View would not have happened.
This is the same group of citizens that the government has now seen fit to throw in the gutter by cutting back on the benefits that they need to achieve a decent standard of living.
Stop wasting my taxes on the already fit and try helping those that need support to lead a decent life in a decent society.
You voted for this. They pay for it by being sentenced to places like Winterbourne View.
Start making amends by jailing those responsible for a minimum of ten years with good behaviour. But I bet they get away with a slapped wrist and suspended sentences.
And do you, the voter, care?

YOU praise the many people from the Bristol area who bought tickets and cheered on the competitors. What about the many volunteers from this area, myself included, who have given up their time and have funded the whole experience themselves? This included a number of trips to London for interviews, uniform collection, training and accommodation during the Olympic weeks. I wanted to do it and I have no regrets, but we have proven that our part was just as crucial.

I BET George Osborne and Mervyn King are rubbing their hands in anticipation of all that "money money money" coming from the vast crowds and even larger crowds who came to see The Games. Where will the profits go now the Olympics have finished? I suppose our imaginary debt, or an expensive consultation on the rights and wrongs of London 2012. Any profits should be spread around the country evenly, as we provided medal winners.
Don't let Boris have it all.
